Comments: My husband is from Europe and Indian Cuisine is popular there. We tried several Indian restaturants but always come back to the TAJMAHAL. The service is wonderful, and we love to visit there. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Comments: My sister and I both got hooked on Indian food in England. She found this on the internet and offered to take me here for my birthday. What a great dinner. We loved the food and the service was exceptional and very friendly. I highly recommend it. Try the chicken khoorma, ask for it to be prepared mildly and you will really enjoy yoursel. We took the leftovers home and had a great lunch the next day.

Comments: I have only eaten here for lunch (they have a GREAT buffet) but it is SO good that I will go WAY out of my way to eat here. And I'm not the world's biggest fan of Indian cuisine, either. The food is fresh, perfectly spiced and the wait staff is extremely polite. And I am basing those comments on repeated visits, not just one. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant: Taj MahalLocation: Wornall & 75th Street, Kansas City, MO
Cuisine: IndianPrice: $$ inexpensive

Food: *** excellentNotes: Wonderful, wide menu
Service: **** superbNotes: I've never had better service in a restaurant
Favorites: Aloo gobi
Comments: Taj Mahal is one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to (and I've eaten in scores of them across the US, UK and Europe). The wait staff is very attentive and solicitous, and are always eager to explain menu items to neophytes. The menu also includes a few southern Indian items, which are a nice change from the heavy and highly-spiced northern Indian cuisine that most Westerners know. Taj Mahal's rice pudding is the finest I've ever eaten anywhere.

Comments: Coming from an Asian Indian , this has to be the worst Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at (and I've been to quite a few , across the US). The first time I went to this place, I was served uncooked meat - try as I might , I just couldn't finish my meal . The second time , I was served which tasted like it was cooked yesterday . Forget about haute cuisine - this place is worse than a soup kitchen. If you want to try Indian , you could go to Ruchi - which is not great either, but its probably the best Indian meal you'll get in KC

Comments: I have had a very bad experience at this place. Food was ok, but I doubt whether they use good quality products to prepare their food. My stomach really had a hard time digesting their food. Even when it is a buffet, servers are around to serve you additional items such as wine and stuff which do not make the food experience an Indian food experience. I think this place survives only because there are no other Indian restaurants for competition in the area.
