Restaurant: Hien VuongLocation: City Market
Cuisine: VietnamesePrice: $ bargain
Ambience: * averageNotes: Has a plain, tacky diner face, but it's clean and tidy.
Food: **** superbNotes: Everything I've tried has been wonderful.
Service: *** excellentNotes: Family owned, family serves, cooks, etc.
Favorites: Bun Cha Gio
Comments: I have been eating at Hien Vuong since I started working downtown in 1990 and discovered it. I have NEVER had a bad or indifferent meal. The setting itself is functional, it's in the City Market. Linoleum, dinette tables, plain chairs. But the food has always been wonderful!

Service: * averageNotes:
Favorites: Spring Rolls
Comments: The food was good but menu was very limited. Definitely not a place for a person looking for a typical Pho restaurant! Another drawback is they serve no alcohol, play no music (only the loud buzzing of the flourescent lighting) and only take cash.

Favorites: can't remember the vietnamese name for it but it was tofu in a tomato basil
Comments: went there the first week it opened and it was surprisingly on the ball and extremely tasty. This is great if you are a vegetarian or love spicy food.
