| Comments: | As a former Texan, I'm real picky about BBQ. This place really
is the leader in great barbecue. The ribs are tender and the sauce is very good. (Not perfection, but still very good.) WHAT do they do to their fries? I'm completed addicted to them and their crunchy goodness! You really should spring for an order of corn nuggets, too. You'll get them after you've started eating your meal, but they are delicious - just
remember to let them cool down first! You should add this place to your "must try" list for BBQ in Kansas City. I've been to Gates and Arthur Bryant and they just don't have the same tender/flavorful meat that Rosedale has. (I won't even comment on their sauces!) |

return...walked in...no waitresses...ordered at counter ribs...they were out at 4:30 !!!! ordered sandwich and fries...sandwich crushed, soggy bread, about 3 oz. of meat, no sauce, wrapped in cellophane....absolutely horrible...ordered a soda it was even hot in bottle....fries ...waited 20 minutes for...came in wax paper baggie...soggy fries....not enough to feed a child...worst bbq experience of my life ...will never darken their door again...no service...nothing...will stick with Fiorella's from now on...they know how to make and serve BBQ....

| Comments: | Marvelous and cheap. A dinner comes with 3 sides and a half pound of meat for $5.75! You're not paying for ambience, and there is no table service, but everything tastes excellent, down to the 'Tater Salad. Meats are well smoked. Their fries are tremendous if crisp, but should be ordered extra crispy if you like 'em that way, as they can be so so if not crisp. The sauce has both cinnamon and cayenne hints to it, and its heat is cumulative, so keep the bread handy. If you've never been there, don't go when its busy for your 1st visit, don't walk all the way up to the counter until you've studied the board and know what you want, and don't take your order to go- your fries will got soggy and everything will cool and not taste as fresh. I recently went at 1:30pm on a weekday and there was no line. I ordered my "Turkey Dinner in, no Slaw make it Salad." The food was totally fresh and hot, and a table was easy to find. Still, there was a steady stream of customers as I sat and ate into the 2 o'clock hour. As they say, they've been "In business since 1934, and still Smokin'!" They gotta be doing something right! |
