Comments: I have eaten at Yia Yia's many times and have been constantly impressed. However, my husband and I went there in August for our anniversary and had a terrible experience (we never got any service). The management was very apologetic and wanted to do everything they could to make it up to us. They sent us over to Yahooz and provided us with a complete meal (which was, by the way, excellent). They then gave us a certificate to come back to Yia Yia's for dinner on them. We went back and had a truly superb experience. The food was excellent, and Jen, our server, was out of this world! Patrons can experience flukes at even the best restaurants. What matters is how the restaurant reacts to the problem to make sure it doesn't happen again. Yia Yia's went out of their way to ensure that we would come back and give them another try. We are sure glad we did and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience!

Comments: My wife and I reserved a table for Valentine's Day. Upon arriving, we waited approximately 15 minutes before being seated. Our table was located right next to the kitchen entryway. If it had been less crowded, we would have opted for a different table. We ordered 2 of their specials for the evening. A 14oz ribeye steak with mashed potatoes in a mushroom wine sauce, spinach salad in a walnut/raisin vinegarette. And paparadelle with veal in a butter sage sauce with caesar salad. The steak was well cooked but hardly a 14oz ribeye. More like 8 oz. The spinach salad was fresh and succulent while the potatoes were, well, mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy. The paparadelle turned out to be over-cooked egg noodles, about 1/2 inch wide, served with veal pot roast. The dish tasted like veal stew abeit good tasting veal stew. The caesar salad was crisp, made well, and good tasting. We each had a glass of fine Chianti in hand as the meals were preceded by complimentary hard crust bread and dipping oil. Our food was served promptly but we decided not to stay for desert. We had a great waiter but would rather pay our $71.00 (before tip) bill feeling like our meals were comsensurate with the price. Their menu was significantly overpriced and our meals were not what we had expected. However, nothing we had tasted bad. Finally, we have expected a bit more attention to detail on a special evening like Valentine's Day. If we didn't know any better, the ambiance would have been consistent with any other evening as not even a candle nor a flower was placed on the table.
