Comments: This place is packed!!! A lot of really average Italian food laid out in a Fantasia-esque set up. There are a ton of pasta dishes (all are bad), some entree dishes (stay away from anything with chicken) and a huge salad and dessert bar. Nothing is authentic and everything is bad. Stay away from this place if you can.

Comments: Biggest complaint I have is it's way too expensive for what you get. "One price for all" they tell you as soon as your seat hits the chair. And, unless you eat enough for two, $14.95/person is way too expensive for a dinner buffet. And if I'm going to pay that much, I want them to wait on me. $5 for a glass of wine? What a rip-off. The food isn't bad, it just isn't anything to write home about. One odd thing, the waitress told us nothing sits out on the buffet more than 8 minutes because they restock so often....um, strange, we watched as we were eating, and what she said never happened. Many items were cleaned out and never replenished the entire time we were there....about 45 minutes. There is absolutely no reason to tip the staff, why should we? All they do is bring the drinks and bring the check. I'm surprised they don't have a bar buffet as well.

Comments: My husband and I went to Cinzetti's this evening. He was interested in trying it. I'd already been there for lunch. Aside from the nice decor' in the lobby and the stone floor, I didn't find much authenticity. This is especially true of the food. While nothing was "awful", nothing truly stood out. There is so much food that most diners are overwhelmed, as were we. I found the pasta dishes to be flavorless, with thin, watery sauces and pasta that was far past al dente. The antipasta was forgettable, and the meats/fish were simply average. I also thought that the dinner price of $14.95 was exorbitant for a serve yourself buffet, no matter how nicely they present it. For more authentic italian, you just have to go to Italy. I'll always remember the 7 course meal I enjoyed in Rome ... Cinzetti's is closer to Chef Boyardee'.

Service: poorNotes: Long wait for water refills

Comments: I took my brother and his wife on a Thursday night- so there were open tables. Basic pastas went fast- so they were refreshed often. Other menu items sat under heat lamps until they turned to leather. Salads were well done, but dessert left much to be desired, especially the chocolate brownie. Servers treat you as if you'll never be back.

Comments: The first time I went here I had an awesome experience. This is when they first opened. The next few times the food seem to taste awful. I guess they went to hell after people started finding out about it. This is a place to go if you are reallllly hungry. The dinner price is kind of a rip-off but the lunch price is spectacular. This is so "not" Italian! Avoid the soup (too salty) and the pizza (lame, cardboardy). The pastas are okay, but I have had better in hospital cafes. I like the fried mozz and rice balls. The desserts are ok. They try to pass Belfonte ice cream as Italian gelato. What a joke!

Comments: After being told we would only have to wait 30 minutes, we were finally seated almost an hour later. Then we she did seat us, someone else had already been seated there. After finally arriving at a table, while getting our dinner, they started to move our table so they could seat others there. It seemed as if their communication there was terrible. Our drinks were never refilled and we had to ask someone to get our drinks after we had almost finished eating our plate of food. Food is good. Just don't go on a weekend if you want good service.

Comments: I have been to Cinzetti's about 5 times. The last time we went for Sunday brunch & I was very disappointed. We were seated next to a group of about 20 who had some stragglers who were long finished eating but content to sit there and laugh and carry on loudly while letting their kids scream and run up and down the booth seats. The food wasn't as good. The lasagna tasted different than on previous trips like something was wrong with it. The hostesses & waitress were OVER friendly and fake--it was just annoying. We couldn't wait to get out of there away from the annoying people and disappointing atmosphere -- not before paying the inflated price of almost $30 for just 2 people though. I had forgotten how ridiculously expensive it was and certainly not worth the money this time. The place is going down hill fast. It was nice when it first opened but just like the chocolate covered strawberries have disappeared, so has this place's reputation to be a good place to eat.

Comments: Many people are operating under the supposition that Cinzetti's is authentic Italian food. It's not. But it is the best Italian-American food I have ever tasted. I admit, I don't care for shelling out $15 for a buffet when I generally can't eat alot all at once, but I will do it at Cinzetti's. I really love their food. And don't even get me started on the dessert buffet--the chocolate souffle cakes alone are worth the price tag of the whole buffet! Yumm!

Comments: For a first timer I was impressed with Cinzettis. I went there for lunch and it wasn't that busy. I can see where it might be hard to manuever around the buffet when the place fills up. I felt that the food was good, with enough spices that seem to be absent in most italian resturants in the area. The prices don't bother me since this is an all-you-can-eat establishment. Besides, if you have kids the children's prices are excellent. Overall, I liked Cinzettis and plan on eating there again.

Comments: Two of us happened on Cinzetti's at lunch - $8.95 minus our senior discount. The next evening we took a group of 14 for dinner - $14.95 including regular drink. Some had beer and wine, which, of course, is extra - the prices were no higher than in other places in the evening - that's why I rarely order wine anyplace. The food both times ranged from good to excellent - depending on the item. Each was made in small batches and therefore constantly fresh. The desserts were the highlight - especially for a chocaholic. All of our group were very pleased and felt it was a good value for a Friday night dinner, and we certainly enjoyed the lunch. It is a good place to take a group because of the wide variety of choices.

Comments: My family had a very upleasant Mother’s Day experience at Cinzetti’s in Overland Park. We arrived on time for our 1 p.m. reservation and were astonished at the number of people waiting. There were probably 50 outside and at least that many more in the lobby. After checking in, we waited and waited. Finally, at 2 p.m., I told the manager we were leaving. I told him this was no way to run a restaurant, and instead of being apologetic, he became very rude. It’s clear what the problem was, and how Cinzetti chose to solve it. They tried to accommodate at least twice as many people as they could handle. When that became obvious to the manager, he chose to solve it by making sure they didn’t lose any large groups. They were seating groups of 4 or less, because they were put in booths that could not be reconfigured for larger parties. Otherwise, they seated no groups of fewer than 10 people. There were 6 in my family. The table that should have been ours was pushed together with another table so they could take care of all the groups of 10 or more.

Comments: i'm not sure what some people expect from an Italian buffet. It's like expecting Grandma's home cooking from the Golden Corral. It's better than I expected when I was first taken there and actually quite good. I enjoy it more than Olive Garden and obviously don't expect it to compete w/ Garozzo's. It is a little pricey, but @ a couple bucks less, I would consider it a good deal because of the variety and the fact that I've never seen anything becoming too nasty while sitting out. The waitstaff is just there to refill your drinks, what do you expect from them knowing how they'll get tipped at a buffet? Enjoy it for what it is, not what it isn't.

We have been there 3 times, service was always good, but we have made it a point to avoid the brunch crowds. To comment on the review above mine, we were there the 2 days before Mothers Day and they were trying to sell us coming back for their brunch..They were probably already overbooked.

Comments: Cinzetti's is a little too pricey for dinner-however we are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 9 and the Monday/Tuesday deal is FANTASTIC! Kids eat free (up to 2 kids PER adult) and adults are $12 ... We are water drinkers anyway and with the dessert bar kids definitely don't need sodas so for under $30 (with a generous buffet tip)we get a great meal with tons of choices even for the pickiest kids! It's NOT Gorozzo's but I don't think they are trying to be...I think it's a great family alternative for something nicer than Applebees (and cheaper) with lots of healthy choices and a great dessert bar for incentive to eat the healthy stuff! Go hungry and it's definitely worth it!
