Restaurant: Villa CapriLocation: Overland Park
Cuisine: ItalianPrice: $$ inexpensive
Ambience: tacky Notes: outdated, dirty curtains, semi-smoky
Food: substandard Notes: bland, seemed previously frozen
Service: * average Notes: too casual, servers wearing jeans
Favorites: none
Comments: Casual family atmosphere with dated decor... plastic cups, paper napkins, bright lighting, old TV with a college basketball game playing. Food seamed to be previously frozen. No wine or cappucino. I would not recommend this restaurant unless "spaghetti" is the only type of pasta you've know.

Comments: If you want frozen pasta that is microwaved, this is definitely your place. $9 for a plate of Fettuccine this poor is...wrong. Waitress was ok. My father has been eating here for years and loves it. Well, If you want microwave food that tastes [bad], and no wine to wash it down with, you should go and have dinner with my father. Not a very wide selection of menu items either. They have fettuccine, spaghetti, spaghetti, spaghetti, do you get the picture?

Restaurant: Tony's Villa CapriLocation: 8126 Metcalf Ave, OP,KS
Cuisine: ItalianPrice: $$ inexpensive
Ambience: tackyNotes: It's a hole in the wall (always the best)

Favorites: Lasagna, THE BEST TOASTED RAVIOLI!!, Pizza are always fantastic!
Comments: I love Tony's! My dad went there for homecoming once. The decor is not the best (kinda a hole in the wall) but the food is great! Its family owned and operated and has been in business for over 40 years! They have great pizzas, my favorite Lasagna and the best Toasted Ravioli. The menu doesn't have a lot of variety, but if you are looking for good, cheap food that with lots of family history... this is your place!

Favorites: Pizza and Baked Pastas
Comments: Definitely not a place to go for atmosphere but for the best basic Italian American food this is your place. Among the best pizza in the city; comparable to the pizza at D'Bronx.

Restaurant: Villa CapriLocation: 8126 Metcalf Ave, OPKS
Cuisine: ItalianPrice: $$ inexpensive
Ambience: tackyNotes: Hello Black Lights and Neon Paint?
Food: substandardNotes: I have had better Italian at Fazollis
Service: * averageNotes: Very uneducated waitress.
Favorites: Bottle of Bud
Comments: I wanted to hit up a local ma-pap Italian joint, which this place looks to be. Let me start off by saying the parking is horrific. The decor is tackier than a dorm room. They have paintings with neon paint, illuminated by black lights.
I thought the red pepper shaker was in frosted glass, but upon further investigation it was just covered with grease and grime. I ordered garlic bread with alfredo sauce to see how it was. The sauce was separated, looked terrible and tasted terrible, a very metallic taste.
For my meal I got pasta and meatballs. The meatballs were lacking any seasoning. They tasted like balled up hamburger. My girlfriend got stuffed cheese ravioli and that was also terrible. I asked the waitress for cracked pepper and she directed me to the dirty red pepper flake shaker. That's just comedy!
Do not go here. Go further south on Metcalf and get something decent. Only thing good was the bottle of Bud I got. No cracked pepper, no wine. What kind of Italian place is this? And how is it in business for as long as it has been. They offered us free cake for their anniversary, we declined, paid for our non-eaten food and left. I could make better Italian with my eyes closed. Yuck.

Ambience: * averageNotes: Red & White Checkered Tablecloths, Vinyl Booths
Food: *** excellentNotes: _
Service: ** very goodNotes: We always have the same waitress and she's great!
Favorites: Pizza, Spaghetti w/Red Sauce
Comments: If you are craving great spaghetti with meat sauce or pizza, this is the place to go. I have been coming here since the late 70's and it remains one of my favorite places. No, the menu is not fancy and yes, the atmosphere is quite outdated. But...the food is great!!
