Comments:  We have enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Jalapeno's for several years. After tonight, however, we will not be going back. My wife and I were enjoying a quiet dinner with her coworker and apparently we out stayed our welcome because after 4 different employees asked if they could clear the table, the owner of the restaurant came over and asked if we could move to the bar. We had only been there 1 and 1/2 hours but apparently our $37.00 ran out.

Favorites: Fajitas, Enchiladas
Comments: We've eaten at this restaurant several times and almost everythiing we've tried has been good. Service is usually good, too, BUT I doubt if I ever go back after a little run-in with the owner! I ordered a side of rice to go for my daughter and the box was so light I looked inside to find about 1/4 cup of rice. I told the owner that I would gladly pay more, but since this was going to be my daughter's dinner I would like to have a little more rice. He was SO RUDE - it as incredible!

Restaurant: JalepenosLocation: 151st, Stanley, KS
Cuisine: MexicanPrice: $$ inexpensive
Ambience: tackyNotes: Void of atmostphere
Food: substandardNotes:
Service: poorNotes: impatient wait staff
Favorites: Nothing
Comments: I ordered tostadas. The meat on them was cold, the tostadas were old, and stale. I ended up with stomach pain afterwards. My Mexican boyfriend didn't even eat his food. We were served our meal 5 minutes after ordering it, after 10 minutes, the waiter wanted us to pay, and we left after a total of 20 minutes. We were so disgusted. We never bothered to complain there. We knew we wouldn't go back again.

Food: * averageNotes: Foods ok, but nothing to write home about
Service: * averageNotes: No complaint about the service
Favorites: Can't think of any 'favorites'
Comments: We have visited occasionally because we live in the neighborhood. The staff is the usual teenager/college kids. You won't see a Mexican in the place, either dining or working. We tried a real Mexican restaurant recently, Taqueria Mexico at Rainbow and Southwest Blvd. Don't think I could ever go back to Jalapeno's again. The difference in the taste of the food is like night and day, and all Mexican staff, with about 50/50 Mexican/non-Mexican patronage.

Favorites: Flautas, Chimi's
Comments: The Stanley restaurant is great! Seating generally is quick, chips are always fresh and warm and free refills when you're done! The atmosphere is fun, with college and high school kids as servers. There is a bar for margs and Corona's too. Food is very good, never a complaint. I recommend the jalapeno cheese dip for appetizer. Beans and rice are delicous and the chimi's and flautas are very good. Smoking and non-smoking sections are nicely separated, with non smoking side a little nicer. Definitely worth a trip, enjoy!

Restaurant: JalepenosLocation: Stanley, KS
Cuisine: MexicanPrice: $$ inexpensive
Ambience: * averageNotes: Nothing fancy. Just comfortable. Great music most times.
Food: *** excellentNotes: Large portions. Tasty.
Service: **** superbNotes: rarely displeased
Favorites: Fajitas, Chicken Fajitas Salad, #15
Comments: I have tried the Brookside and Stanley locations and Stanley is by far the better location. The food is great. The service is the best of any restaurant I have ever been to, no matter how casual or formal. The staff is extremely friendly and rarely allows you the opportunity to ask for something. They beat you to the punch. My only complaint is there are certain customers who get a lot more attention than others, but I don't see it occur often.
