On one occassion I came in with my 5 kids (ranging from 6-15) and let them know we had 30 minutes before we had to be on the road for lessons. The answer was no problem. The food arrived incredibly fast and tasted fabulous. The servers were truely wonderful to my children. It was a joy to take my children out to eat, be served dinner, eat excellent food and walk away wanting to come back!! My children have dined at many fine restaurants around KC, including some well known names at the Plaza and when we ask where they want to eat out, they say unanimously, Jose Peppers! Thank you!!!! Oh, one last thing, I've asked for the recipe for the espinaca and they very graciously said... NO:(

My wife is allergic to cigar smoke. She went up to the manager to see if there was a policy against cigar smoking, which most places have, and he said he didn't think so. We had to leave suddenly without finishing our drinks or ordering dessert. To spite all, these teens did not even order any food. They appeared to be locals and friends with the servers. Needless to say, we were not happy and probably will not return to that location. It seemed management would rather have a non-customer smoke a cigar rather than supporting a paying customer. |

Awesome happy hour prices, and they have 2 for $5.00 Margaritas all day every day!!! I go there just to have some drinks sometimes!! I am able to eat there sometimes 2 or 3 times a week, must try!!! Our waitress came over and said "my manager said it would be okay if we moved". There were already people in the section and we wanted to sit away from the table of children throwing food. The manager walked by numerous times with a scowl on his face. Our plates arrived and were so hot we could not even touch them to eat the food. After we were finished, the manager walked by and took the plates, but did not even ask if we were happy. As we left, the hostess who originally seated us said something rude and the others laughed. I only went to Jose's for the food, but will never go again due to service. AND, I will let every single student I have know about the service as well. Word of mouth does wonders.

| Comments: | We recently went there for dinner. We were brought to our table, which was still messy from the last diners, so stood waiting while the table was cleared. Floor was beyond filthy. Sweeper took stuff in aisle, but under the table remained cluttered with chip bags and leftover food. Manager scolded employee in full view of diners. Our young son was given really hot plate, while his twin had a cool one. Rice was dried, VERY peppery and inedible. All five of us literally became ill the next day, to varying degrees. We had been to this restaurant before, with much more positive results, making this time all the more disappointing. |

| Comments: | my family and i used to frequent this location often. the last couple of times, the restarunt was dirty, service was slower, and it just wasn't anything special. the servers just seemed to care about getting you up and out. The last time i was in there, the servers and managers were complaining about the owner and how the remodel would never be done. i found this to be very offensive, why should we continue to eat at such a place where everyone apparently does not like to work. They have lost their heart. We will not be back. |
