| Comments: | The staff at La Mesa tries very hard to please everyone, although they are SO BUSY! My boyfriend is Mexican, and he insists on going there at least once a week for the excellent CARNE ASADA: Really thin steaks covered with a green salad, with beans and rice. Take that little carafe of salsa they give you, and pour some of it on top of your steak, then CHOW DOWN. That is the only thing that I consistently enjoy there, but my boyfriend loves the Chicken Chimichanga (in a FLOUR tortilla), and the Chicken tostadas. The two Guitar players (they are NOT mariachis), are fantastic, artistic, personable individuals, who remember the customers, and add to the unique environment on Wednesday nights. Thanks for opening in Johnson County, and thanks for putting up with us Gringos! |

| Comments: | Decided to try La Mesa since it is close to my home. BIG MISTAKE! Although the service was okay, their so-called Mexican food tastes like a frozen tv dinner. I will continue to eat at Manny's in KC...can't be beat!!! |
