| Comments: | When I say no frills, I mean no frills. The non-smoking section even has fluorescent lighting, which is a little weird, but the food and service totally make up for it. When you sit down they bring you chips and 2 kinds of salsa, mild and hot (which is hot in temperature, and also very spicy in a slow-building sort of way). The Puffy margarita is great - almost a little tropical tasting, which explains the blue-green color. And you can get it in a birdbath size, great for 4 people and you can't beat the price. Many entrees come with beans and rice - the beans are not the typical glob of brick-red mash you get in most Mexican restaurants; I'm not sure what kind of beans they use here but they look almost blueish and they taste AWESOME. The food is a bit cheese-intensive, which can be good or bad depending on your preferences. All in all the informal atmosphere is really a fun and relaxed place to hang out and stuff yourself silly (and cheaply).
