| Comments: | Tequila Harry's is a neighborhood Mexican restaurant--patronized mainly by those living in the subdivisions that flank Quivera and College, as well as by the folks who work and study at Johnson County Community College. The food is consistently good, although it tends to be mild to the point of tasting bland. Nonetheless, the chicken meat in the chicken taco is supurb: juicy, flavorful, and plentiful. Also, the taco shells are freshly prepared, and they are loaded with not only the meat, but good-quality cheese, lettuce, toms, and salsa. The restaurant also has some vegetarian options. The veggie burrito in particular is excellent, with crisp grilled red and green peppers and onions, along with pinto beens. It can be ordered with or without the cheese, and it comes with a side order of fresh guacamole.
The menu is typical, with the standard fare of enchilladas, burritos,
tacos, and chimichangas dominating.
The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable. Seldom is there a wait for a table, and the waitstaff is prompt, friendly, and professional. The bar at the front of the restaurant is a terrific addition, and it makes for a good place to spend happy hour on Friday afternoons. For food within this price range (inexpensive), Tequila Harry's is above average. If you find yourself in the vicinity of Johnson County Community College, you can expect a good meal with plenty to take home for a late-night snack, should you stop at Tequila's for lunch or dinner.

| Comments: | My friends and I go to Tequila Harry's every week, last week we had a very bad encounter with one of the managers. We were told that "Tequila Harry's is a family atmosphere and he would rather have families there instead of us." That is fine, but we weren't doing anything wrong, granted we were being a little loud, but it was after 10:00 on a Monday. Not many families were even in the restaurant. It was way out of line and uncalled for. We don't know if we will ever visit Tequila Harry's again. If you go to this restaurant eat quickly and don't talk! |

| Comments: | The service is great, and everything is good on the menu. We've been going there for 10+ years, nothing has changed on the menu -- but doesn't need to because of the variety offered. Good quality. And for it being a Mexican restaurant, the cheeseburgers are FANTASTIC (served with big steak fries). |
