| Comments: | Have been several times now and will probably not go back (my husband definitely will not return). Their food and service can be excellent, mediocre, or downright awful. The last occassion we had a poor server and improperly cooked food. When we informed our server he was interested only in arguing with us not in trying to rectify anything. In his defense I will say he was a nice enough person but he was poorly trained, extremely forgetful, and totally out of his depth.
Every steakhouse varies slightly in definitions of doneness and I have had improperly cooked steaks on occassion at some very fine restaurants. But never have I seen anything as far off as this and this is the only restaurant I have ever been exposed to that didn't seem to care. My husband always orders his steaks med well or well done, myself I usually go med rare. After our server explained "the Outback" doneness my husband ordered a med well steak, and since I was having lamb I ordered it med well also. My husbands steak was red throughout, browned only on the outside, and my lamb was solid red in the center with slight browning on the edges...at best his steak was a perfect rare and my lamb perhaps med rare...we are talking red, red meat here not pink, red. Our server actually looked at the meat and claimed that yep that was med well. When asked about there being ANY red in Med Well he asserted that it was supposed to be that way at Outback.
I have had one superb meal at this establishment and several mediocre, but this one broke the camel's back. |

Our party was entertained while waiting at the bar and was escorted to our table by one of the curteous hostesses when it was time to be sat. Sally served us like she was straight from a 5 star restaurant. |
