was fantastic! When I returned for a second visit in June, I was saddened to learn of the departure of the french chef/owner who has now been replaced by a "cook" who doesn't know anything about fine cuisine. The food was awful and the service slow, unfriendly and inefficient. I will not be returning to this restaurant EVER! |

| Comments: | Cafe des Amis is charming. They've had some bumps in the road, having only been open for about 2 months and losing their original chef. But come on people give them a break! They now have a chef who worked with Paul Bocuse!!! If you know anything about French food that will mean something to you. Do you have any idea how hard it is to stay in business? To Jean Pierre wait a month and go back. You will be pleasantly surprized. This is not a huge cooperate giant but one guy with a dream, don't be so cruel!!! |

| Comments: | What I like about Cafe des Amis is the fact that they serve outstanding food in a casual and relaxing environment. Most French restaurants in the U.S. tend to be overly formal and expensive. My wife and I and another couple spent almost 2 hours drinking and dining. We had a wonderful evening and never felt rushed. The food and drink were outstanding and the bill was around $25 per person. I think that it is a great value for the quality and price. |
